Another report here. Even when you use it from the Apps button, it opens an all new window instead of just navigating to the app in the same tab. Very cumbersome. Enough so that I keep immediately...

All apps should still be there. They're just placed under an Apps button, now. We've received reports from a number of people that this is cumbersome when processing multiple orders and we're looking...

I am also missing this feature. In fact there are several apps that place buttons which have dissapeared. For example Grapevine reviews adds a button to the admin page for a product.
